LIBERTY HIGH SCHOOL MARCHING BAND

The Liberty High School Marching Band and Colorguard is the most visible component of the LHS Band Program. Participation is expected from all members of both concert bands. This ensemble also includes our Fall Colorguard. The Marching Band is a co-curricular ensemble that rehearses outside of the school day. Rehearsals will typically be Monday and Wednesday evenings through the first week of November. Additionally, participation in Summer Band Camp is mandatory. The camp is typically held the 3rd and 4th week of August at Liberty High School.

The purpose of the Liberty Marching Band is to create an ensemble that both students and community can take pride in. The ensemble will focus on sound training and skill development on the student’s instrument, fundamental teaching of rehearsal skills and technique, teamwork and leadership techniques, and a sense of pride in the school and community. The Marching Band performs at many regular season Liberty High School home football games and marching competitions in Oregon and Washington.
